Spring Into Action, our current featured fundraiser. This arrangement contains 3, 4" potted blooming spring bulbs designed in a spring flower motif metal container. Bulbs can later be planted outside to return each year. $5 from each sale will be donated to A Recipe To End Hunger Local Nonprofit.
BACKPACK BUDDY is a program that helps empower students at risk of hunger to feed themselves on weekends. Throughout our community, there are thousands of children filled with potential who are being held back by a lack of healthy food. Distracted at school by hunger and low energy, diverted by health problems and isolated by the stigma of being the kid always asking for food, children from food-insecure homes have a hard time getting ahead. And sadly, food insecurity is prevalent in our community. In fact, one in four children in our area is at risk of hunger
“A Recipe to End Hunger” has all the ingredients needed to help solve this problem. We are putting all those elements together to feed our most vulnerable and needy citizens when they may be left alone to solve the issue. Join us in raising the needed funds and support for the weekend school backpack programs in our community that deliver nutritious food children can prepare themselves over the weekend when they do not have access to free or reduced-price meals provided at school.
