A Preview Of Summer’s Flowers

If you're in the mood to ruminate a little about summer's flowers, join the club. We here at Nanz & Kraft Florists love to look ahead to each season's floral riches, and even though spring and summer share many flowers in common, there are still certain bloomers that have their fullest expression in summer, along with ways of designing with them that fit better, too. Memorial Day is reserved for honoring those troops who died in service to their country. It's a solemn occasion, and yet we also use it as a time to gather with friends and family, remembering the soldiers we knew and loved and enjoying the people in our lives now. Meet One Of Our Marvelous Moms

Nanz and Kraft Florists asked one of our resident flower experts and moms to weigh in on kids, flowers and what to give the special moms in your life for Mother's Day. Name: Debbie Frisbie Kids: Ellen, 28, Matthew, 25, Claire, 20, and John, 17 How did you get into floral work? I have always loved fresh flowers and usually have a bouquet somewhere in the house. I wanted to do something part-time with flexible hours. Nanz and Kraft was looking for seasonal help during the Christmas holiday, and I jumped at the chance to work with them. I have  loved working with the flowers from day one and have found that it is not a job but a joy to be able to be creative and make beautiful arrangements every day.
