A Tribute To Hispanic Heritage Month In A Vase

By David Kraft on September 30, 2018 in Fall, Flowers. 0 Comments

Nanz & Kraft Florists is celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month--which runs September 15 to October 15--by honoring the flowers of Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and the Americas. Our floral landscape would not be the same without the contributions these countries have made to floriculture. The native flowers and plants reflect a richly diverse range of floral types, and today we're highlighting a design that brings many of them together in one vase. Let's talk fall tables. Specifically, the kind you entertain from. To put a finer point on it, your dining room table. Now, while it's not quite fall yet, we can feel it in the air here at Nanz and Kraft Florists, which is why we've already debuted our collection of harvest-hued (and textured!) floral designs. But at this stage in the game, you'll want to define any entertaining you do with a piece that isn't super fall heavy. You're looking for a transitional arrangement that will take you from summer into fall. Read More about Entertain This Gorgeous Floral Design

A Tablescape Glittering With Jewel-Toned Flowers

By David Kraft on September 17, 2018 in Fall, Flowers. 0 Comments

You might think there's nothing that can top that harvest-hued decor you see popping up in September and October; it's homey, it's comforting, it's the essence of fall. But we here at Nanz & Kraft Florists beg to differ with the idea that there's only one seasonal palette that belongs to fall. The holiday season has red and green, sure, but it's dressed in white, blue, silver and gold just as often too. It's the same with autumn, for it is also the season of jewel tones, and if you think about it, that just makes sense. As we transition to a darker, cooler few months, spending more time in our homes, we look for ways to create vibrant displays in our personal space. Colors from the gemstone spectrum have depth but are also vivid. They just fit beautifully with the season. Read More about A Tablescape Glittering With Jewel-Toned Flowers

September is self-care awareness month, and we here at Nanz & Kraft Florists have a suggestion as to how you can best make the most of this important time. We love our flowers, but we're equally enamored of our plants. Why? Well, they're one of the most healthy adds you can make to your space. They clean the air. They humidify it and regulate its temperature. They have also been shown to aid in recovery for hospital patients and to decrease the stress in workplaces. And the best part is, they look great. Soft White Styles For End Of Summer

By David Kraft on August 19, 2018 in Flowers, Summer Flowers. 0 Comments

Ease up this coming Labor Day weekend---you deserve it. Nanz & Kraft Florists sees no reason not to spend Monday, September 3 in the style in which it was intended: feeling proud about your achievements so far this year and giving yourself a much-deserved break from them. Labor Day is a moment to celebrate the American worker, and since most of us count ourselves a part of this group, we've all got reason to take a day off. Over time, this weekend has also evolved to mark the end of summer, and we're often scrambling to socialize or get one last trip in before the onset of fall and the holiday season. But we encourage you to slow down and put your feet up, partake in a little self-care. And we've got the flowers to support that. Read More about Soft White Styles For End Of Summer

Together, plants and bees have adapted and evolved for millions of years each to the benefit of the other, refining their symbiotic relationship over time like the most successful romances do. We're taking a minute to honor the work of bees by showing off one of their favorite flowers. Read More about Sunny, Bee-Friendly Sunflowers

By David Kraft on July 30, 2018 in Back to school gifts. 0 Comments

Nanz & Kraft Florists feels downright celebratory about the start of the school year---which is just around the corner. While the end of summer and the prospect of school can induce moans among our littles, and there's definitely a touch of nerves going into it, it's a mostly exciting endeavor. And to start things off on the right foot, we think you should arrive bearing gifts along with those school supplies. We typically wait to bestow gifts after the year has passed, but the positive vibes you'll bring with gifts in hand is worth it. And don't forget your student either.
