2018’s Pretty, Posh Flower Trend
International Floral Distributors has released its annual trend report, and the results are giving us at Nanz & Kraft Florists a lot to look forward to in 2108. And while it’s hard to pick one style to focus on in this week’s blog, we’ve chosen IFD’s “Positively Posh,” a modern romantic look that feels at home on tables, at events and in hands.
What we love about this trend is its emphasis on texture. Designs present layers of delicate petals in a wash of pastel colors – pale pinks and grays – with violet and crimson punctuating the scheme here and there. The effect is a ruffle of flowers that feel both free-form and yet controlled, something that feels opulent but not overdone. Our New TV design demonstrates this perfectly.
You can see how youthful and whimsical this approach is. Rather than feeling heavy and studied, this embellished piece is light and airy. It adds a lot of detail to your design scheme and gives your home a much-needed update. Whether you build these arrangements from a clear glass vase, as we have here, or increase the drama by setting them in a pedestal, the artistry and texture makes a big impact.
At Nanz & Kraft Florists, we’re always interested in creative new approaches to floral design, even as we cherish classic looks and blooms.
