Monday, May 29 is Memorial Day, a yearly observance which originated nearly 150 years ago, in the years following the Civil War. It was established out of respect for the brave men and women who died in that war - but has continued in order to give honor to all those throughout the history of our country who have sacrificed everything for freedom.
